Thursday March 6, 2008 was a special night at Kahuku High and Intermediate School. Kahuku's ELL department hosted the first annual "Hawaii Stew Night." The night allowed students from many backgrounds to share their cultures with each other. Students from all the ELL classes along with their families, friends, teachers, and special guests gathered for a night of good food, good company, and great entertainment. The evening featured student performances representing many different nations including: Somoa, Tonga, China, Taiwan, The Philippines, Hong Kong, The Marshall Islands, Cambodia, Laos, Brazil, and Gabon.It was a special night at Kahuku and those involved left feeling excited to be part of such a wonderful and special community. Special thanks to Joyce Tupola, Aleta Wilkinson, and Cindy Nichols for their hard work to make this night a success.
